LGBTQIA+ Inclusion: Movement Toward Intentional Action

This session will focus on fostering inclusive school environments focusing specifically on transgener, gender expansive, and gender non-conforming students
Objectives:
1) Define and differentiate terms commonly used within the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize how language impacts individuals’ identities and experiences
2) Formulate strategies in conjunction with NJ state laws and policies to create an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ students rooted in wellness and belonging
3) Evaluate existing practices and propose improvements based on collaborative efforts to provide emotional and academic support to LGBTQIA+ students
