About the Workshop: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) “In Our Own Voice” presentation works to change attitudes, assumptions and ideas about people with mental health conditions. This presentation will provide a personal perspective of mental health conditions, as leaders with lived experience talk openly about what it's like to have a mental health condition.

About the Presenter: NAMI New Jersey (NAMI NJ) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Through education, support, advocacy and public awareness programs NAMI NJ fosters understanding about mental illness, confronts stigma often associated with mental disorders, advocate for public policies that benefit those affected by mental illness, and promotes research into the causes, treatment and recovery of mental health disorders.

NAMI's "In Our Own Voice" presentation will be hosted by NJASP's Southern Region at: Atlantic County Library, Hammonton Branch 451 South Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037. Light refreshments will be provided. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Check-in begins at 5:45PM.
